- 경찰학전공의 평생학습 참여에 관한 연구 -
본 연구는 경찰학전공의 평생학습에 참여한 성인학습자를 대상으로 평생학습의 참여하게 된 동 기, 전공선택, 교육내용, 교수법, 교육환경, 제도지원 등에 관하여 평생학습의 만족을 보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하고자 부산 소재 D대학의 평생학습 단과대학의 경찰학전공 학생들을 대상 으로 심층면접을 진행하였다. 연구결과, 평생학습에 참여하게 된 동기는 목표지향성, 학습지향성, 활동지향성 등으로 조사되었 다. 경찰학전공을 선택한 동기에 대한 결과는 실무와 이론을 겸비하고자 하는 동기, 경찰의 관심에 대한 동기, 범죄자의 심리에 대한 호기심 등에 대한 동기 등으로 다양하게 제시되었다. 평생학습의 학습 저해 요인으로는 직장과 학업의 병행으로 인한 신체적인 피로감, 컴퓨터 활용이 학습 저해요인 으로 조사되었다. 경찰학전공에 있어서 교육내용과 교수법은 실제 사례를 설명하는 수업 방식, 토론 수업, 성인학습자들에게 잦은 관심과 면담 등으로 전공에 있어서 만족하는 것으로 조사되었다. 하지 만 교양수업의 경우에는 선택의 폭이 좁다는 점과 온라인 교양수업이 부담감으로 작용이 되는 것으 로 조사되었다. 평생학습의 교육환경에서 물리적 환경은 전반적으로 만족을 하였으나, 실질적으로 몸소 체험할 수 있는 공간이 부족하였으며, 인적 환경에는 의견이 상반되었다. 평생학습의 제도지원 에 있어서는 등록금이 가장 큰 부담감으로 작용이 되었으나, 국가 및 교내의 장학금으로 인해 그 부 담감은 해소되는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 집중이수제와 학습경험인정제도와 같은 유연한 학습제도 에 대한 도입을 요구하는 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 경찰학전공의 성인학습자의 계속적인 학습참여를 위한 제언을 하고자 한다.
A Study on the Participation in Lifelong Learning of Police Science Major
This study aims to report the satisfaction of lifelong learning in terms of motivation for participation in lifelong learning, major selection, educational content, teaching method, educational environment, and institutional support for adult learners who participated in lifelong learning in the police science major. In order to achieve the research purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted with students majoring in police science at D University's Lifelong Learning College in Busan. As a result of the study, the motivation to participate in lifelong learning was investigated as goal orientation, learning orientation, and activity orientation. The results on the motives for choosing the major in police science were presented in various ways, such as motives for combining practice and theory, motives for police interest, curiosity for criminals' psychology, and so on. As factors that hinder learning in lifelong learning, physical fatigue due to the combination of work and study, and use of computers were investigated as factors that hinder learning. In the police science major, it was surveyed that the educational content and teaching methods were satisfied with the major due to the teaching method of explaining actual cases, discussion classes, and frequent interest and interviews with adult learners. However, in the case of liberal arts classes, it was investigated that the options were narrow and that online liberal arts classes acted as a burden. In the educational environment of lifelong learning, the physical environment was generally satisfied, but there was insufficient space to actually experience it, and opinions were contradicted on the human environment. In terms of system support for lifelong learning, tuition fees acted as the biggest burden for adult learners, but it was investigated that the burden was relieved by scholarships in the country and in schools. In addition, it was investigated that the introduction of flexible learning systems such as the intensive coursework system and the learning experience recognition system were required. Based on these findings, I would like to make a suggestion for the continued participation of adult learners in police science majors.
